The city of the future needs to re-invent flexible modes of transport, both public and private, which meet the needs of all users while remaining affordable. It also needs to re-think traffic routes for delivery vehicles in the town centre.
Car-sharing, self-service vehicles, city taxis, service vehicles and electric delivery vans are all solutions which will enable our towns to enhance their inhabitants' quality of life.
Towns must focus on people, not on cars. The urban vehicle must therefore be a service which can be adapted to meet the needs of its users.
VENTURI presented a first Eclectic concept car at the "Mondial" 2008. With the aim of responding as efficiently as possible to problems related to urban transport, and particularly the car-sharing system, the technological approach needs to be pursued more extensively in order to create an offering suitable for this emerging market.
A car running on lithium batteries must therefore be developed, made of recycled materials and capable of communicating with its users : "ECLECTIC 2.0".
Clean and connected, Eclectic 2.0 will offer new developments in terms of advanced electronic management of Lithium Ion batteries and will also benefit from the latest VENTEC BMS (Battery Managment System).
Markets targetted
Eclectic 2.0 responds with real versatility to the growing demand for "zero emission" urban vehicles, which can be divided into 5 distinct targets :
- fleet managers (car-hire companies, private firms, public entities, association sectors…) ;
- fleet users (such as "La Poste") : this is the first market to be developed ;
- transportation companies (goods and passengers) ;
- local authorities ;
- private individuals: high development potential.
