Venturi Automobiles on Californian roads
Only car manufacturer invited to present the future of the automobile during the Wired Nextfest Show – Experience the Future –, Venturi has tested for the first time in the U.S, Astrolab and Eclectic, its two electro-solar vehicles.
The most striking innovations of these past 12 months have been enhanced during that show (www.wirednextfest.com) that has taken place at the « Los Angeles Convention Center » from the 13th to the 16th of September 2007.
The public as well as the American medias have got very enthusiastic with Astrolab and Eclectic and many exclusive reports about Venturi have been aired on the main American TV channels (CNBC, Fox News, ABC, CNN, etc.), taking in account the announcement of the barrel of oil exceeding the course of 80 $.
Larry Page, CEO of Google, as well as Antonio Villaraigosa, mayor of Los Angeles, also came to personnally congratulate us and to confirm their interest for our approach and our products based on renewable energies: the sun and the wind.
The first deliveries of Eclectic are planned as soon as our factory opens in Monaco, next March. The great success of the Venturi Astrolab could also bring that concept car into reality in a near future in California.
